Born in Cinfães, graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Coimbra, in 2002. Postgraduate studies at the same faculty in pharmaceutical law (2003).
Master’s degree, in the field of Legal Civilist Sciences, her dissertation was on the subject “Civil liability for damages caused by defective medications”, from the University of Coimbra, in 2008. She also has postgraduate studies in Public Procurement Law and Practice at the Faculty of Law, Universidade Católica, Lisbon, 2010.
Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2005.
Attended a training course in “Public-Private Partnerships” in 2005.
She has worked as researcher at the Centre for Biomedical Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Coimbra.
She has spoken at various conferences in the field of pharmaceutical law. Author of numerous publications including Civil Liability in the Pharmaceutical Industry, A legal Look at Pharmacosurveillance, The Problem of the Constitutionality of the Dissent Solution, The Legal Framework on the taking of organs and tissue in corpses for transplantation, published by the Centre for Biomedical Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Coimbra, and A Brief Reference to Issues of Pharmaceutical Law – Notes of Legislative Policy, co-author with Carina Branco, published in Revista da Ordem dos Advogados.
She joined the firm in 2004. Her practice areas include pharmaceutical law, administrative law and litigation, maritime and port law, commercial law and especially international contracts, corporate law and M&A.
