As a result of its work in Mergers and Acquisitions, Albuquerque & Associados also has extensive experience in notification procedures, relating both to acquisitions, particularly in cross-border deals, and to joint ventures and corporate link-ups.

Another important aspect of Albuquerque & Associados’ activity in this area is in the field of distribution, agency and franchise agreements. As well as drafting and negotiating the contracts, the firm  advises on issues such  as exclusivity obligations, territorial protection, resale price maintenance, sole dealerships, abuse of economic dependence and exemption mechanisms.
