Born in Lisbon, graduated in law from the Universidade Católica, Lisbon, in 1988.
Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 1990.
Legal advisor in the Legal and Industrial Relations Department of the Confederation of Portuguese Industry (CIP), 1989 to 1995. He also represented Portuguese entrepreneurs in several national and community venues.
He joined the firm in 1995, and heads the Employment Law Department, which has advised numerous Portuguese companies and multinationals on employment and corporate law, in the chemicals, electronics, shipping and automotive sectors.
He followed through the planning and execution of corporate reorganization processes, including the three largest operations of this type in Portugal in the last decade.
Besides heading the firm’s Employment Law Department, he also works in commercial and company law, as well as in shipping and shipping finance.
