Albuquerque & Associados’ real estate practice encompasses the construction, purchase, sale and letting of real estate, as well as compulsory purchase procedures.

The firm is also actively engaged in advising on planning issues, particularly for tourism projects, promotion and construction and the respective administrative licences.

Albuquerque & Associados also boasts a long tradition of legal consultancy in the hotel trade, providing services to several of the world’s leading hotel chains. This includes advice on acquiring hotels, due diligence procedures, restructuring, international hotel operation and management contracts, franchising agreements, as well as licensing and support for day-to-day hotel and tourist business.

In addition to the assistance provided by Albuquerque & Associados and its individual members to private clients, the firm has also worked with the public authorities on drafting important legislation. One of the firm’s partners co-drafted the important planning and tourism legislation of the 1990s.
