Born in Lisbon, graduated in law from the Universidade Católica, Lisbon and admitted at the Portuguese Bar Association since 1986.
She initiated her activity at A. Esteves, Luiz Gomes & Abecassis. Ten years later founded the Law Firm Roquette, Vaz Pinto & Marques Dos Santos, using her married name of Rita Vaz Pinto. Later on, she was partner of Olavo Cunha, Franqueira Dias, Barros de Figueiredo, Vaz Pinto & Associados, founding partner of Rita Delgado & Associados, having integrated Albuquerque & Associados in 2010.
In 1999, she straitened her collaboration with the Portuguese Bar Association, as instructor of procedures for establishment of fees by the Bar Association and member of the Jury that presides over exams for admission of new Members to the Bar Association of Portugal, tasks that she executed up to 2006. In the year of 2004, she was candidate for member of the General Board of the Portuguese Bar Association.
Member of the Executive Comity and President of the Commission for the Future of the Profession of AIJA - Association International des Jeunes Avocats, from 2000 to 2005, Directress and Keep Treasury of ASAP - Association of the Law Firms of Portugal in 2002 and 2003, being President of the board of the Associação dos Concessionários da Margem Tejo since 2009.
Member of the Politics Commission of a Portuguese Political party in 2000 and 2001 and integrated the respective Jurisdiction Board in 2002.
She has also been speaker in several International and National Conferences, in areas of her expertise, being also author of several Legal and political articles in the Magazine “Direito”, in Gazette of AIJA and other publications such as “Diário Económico” and “Expresso”. Author of the romance Without Fear, based on the most relevant facts of the XX Century in Portugal, published in 2004.
She works with particular intensity in the Real Estate sector, Tax Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, providing advisement to main projects of National Interest, actively participating in the procedures and operations of foreign investment, such as negotiation, agreements and subsequent implementation.
